I wanted to create a dialogue system to help the player understand my puzzle in the level and the player gets the stats that are required to unlock the next dialogue branch. The player earns stats by completing missions in the game for dialogue branches and areas of the level.

At first I thought I didn't need to have stat requirements but for the dialogue system that uses a data table for all the text and branches in ue5. The problem was that a data table cannot be updated or changed during runtime of the game.

So I adapted and added a state requirement Actor component to the third person character to update the values of the player's stats after an event.

Using Jira to help plan out our team by using user stories and tasks a lot with planning and marking our progress on making Space Monkeys. Scrum is a skill we all learned during development.
